Vaccination Requirements

Health and safety is of optimum importance for all of our pet guests. Certification of vaccines from a veterinarian is required for each pet before admittance into the facility. If your pet requires an updated vaccination, please make arrangements for the vaccination to be administered no less than 10 days before any pet service can scheduled.
All pets are required to have up-to-date for the entirety of their stay:

* The Canine Influenza vaccine is not a requirement; however, we highly recommend all dogs coming to the Pet Care Center receive this vaccination. Please consult with your veterinarian to make the best decision for your beloved pet.

You may fax your pet’s vaccination records directly from your veterinarian’s office to our fax machine at 724.942.3636 or email them to info@nemacolinwoof.biz. To speak directly with a Pet Care associate, please contact us at 724.942.3333.

Boarding & Daycare Policies

For everyone’s safety, all pets entering and exiting Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Care Center must be on a leash or in a carrier until directed otherwise.

Securing a Boarding Reservation

In order to secure a Boarding Reservation at our facility, a guest’s pet must have completed a Complimentary Temperament Test Day*, which can be arranged at your convenience no sooner than a week prior to the Boarding needs. A $25, Non-Refundable Boarding Reservation Fee will need to be processed in order to secure the dates and level of care that you require for your pet’s stay while in our care. This fee is applied at check-out to your final bill.

Check-in & Check-out

Drop-off and check-out times within the operating hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm do not add additional charges to rates. Clients with packages can still pick up as late as 7:30 pm but if you are paying daily, you will need to either pay at drop off or before 6:00 pm.

Please allow an extra 15-minutes in your schedule to ensure a completed boarding check-in document from a Pet Care Center associate or a grooming menu (if applicable) for each stay. If providing your own pet’s food, please prepare and label by meal each serving in a separate baggy for the entire length of the stay. If medicating, please properly label and provide doctor’s instructions and all medication for the entire length of the stay.

Wellness

The Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Care Center associates are dedicated to the health and wellness of your pet. A veterinarian from our partner, Woodlands Animal Care Center, is on call 24-hours a day in case of an emergency. If your pet should require medical attention while in our care, our protocol is to contact our veterinarian. Should the nature of your pet’s illness require an office visit, we reserve the right to utilize our on-call veterinarian.

Pets requiring vaccination updates must have the vaccination(s) administered no less than 10 days before check in. Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Care Center reserves the right to refuse admittance to any pet guest for any reason, at any time, who lacks proof of vaccinations, displays signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, demonstrates aggressive behavior, or who fails our standard health and temperament policies.

Special Needs & Medical Care

Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Care Resort & Spa recognizes that some of our guests may have special needs. We encourage our clients to discuss any special requirements with us when making a reservation, including but not limited to: medications, supplements, special meal preparation, extra feeding times, daily brushing, puppy care, and senior care (additional charges may apply). Our caring associates can administer any oral or topical medications your dog may require during their visit.

Belongings

Some pets suffer from anxiety while away from home. That’s why we suggest sending any personal belongings along with your dog, to ensure their stay is as comfortable and pleasant as possible. For first time Boarding, we suggest a blanket from home or a piece of owner clothing to reassure your pet during their stay.

We do provide for all of the dog’s comfort needs with in-house supplies, but there is nothing quite like bringing your own things from home.

Visitation & Facility Tours

Visitation during boarding is allowed for owners. Tours are provided as a walk in service and can be given at any time during the operating hours, no appointment necessary.

Dining

For the best health and safety of your pet’s dietary needs, we strongly recommend providing their regular food during their stay. Along with nerves and potential digestive issues, changing food at this tentative time, could promise to upset even the strongest of stomachs. However, should you need to use our house food, for a nominal per meal fee, we can supply our in-house kibble or wet food. Recommended by our Veterinarian at the Wooflands, Farmington, we supply a GI and Sensitive Stomach formula, so as to be as gentle on their tummies as possible. Our in-house special formula food is available for an additional fee of $5/meal – up to 3 meals a day. Please make sure to tell the Associate taking your reservations which preference for feeding you prefer.

Cancellations

We require owners to make any cancellations at least 3 days prior to their arrival date.  Should a cancellation be submitted for any reason later than 72hours, or there is a “No-Show” for a current reservation, the Non-refundable, Boarding Reservation Fee required to make your Boarding Reservation will be processed.

Holiday Policy

On the listed Holidays, we do not provide any Daycare, Grooming, Drop-offs or Pick-ups:

Complimentary Temperament Test Day *

A Temperament Testing day provides for a Complimentary 5 hours of Daycare (a $20 value) for our team to assess your pet’s needs, fears, anxiety levels, friend-making abilities and dietary/sanitary and kennels needs while in our care. This allows the associates to become better acquainted with your pet, as well as your pet to become more accustomed to the sights, smells & sounds of the facility so as to feel more comfortable when they return for any of our services. This provides our ability to provide the highest level of care to your pet while they are in our care. This process can only begin, once we receive all verifications of required vaccinations from your personal veterinarian.
